MCM Palm Springs Inspired ADU

Completed 2016. Making Modern Home's spec build project designed from the ground up!  Per the city of Austin, this is a "back house" was limited to just 850 square feet at the time! Working with Ochona architecture, Making Modern Home designed an efficient 2 bedroom/2 bathroom floorplan with privacy, light, storage, and a generous open living area all in a Palm Springs Mid-Century Modern inspired shell perfectly suited for this 60s East Austin streetscape. Gorgeous glazed brick tile, walnut cabinets, polished concrete floors, and mid-century light fixtures complete the look. Check out the front house too! This MCM gem was built in collaboration with Co-Sci construction for Hippie Hollow Homes and Firefighters Buy Houses .
